Bus
To reach Broadway in Newport from East Greenwich, start by walking to the nearest bus stop for the RIPTA bus service. You can catch the #60 bus towards Newport at any of the stops along Main Street in East Greenwich. Stay on the bus for approximately 25-30 minutes. The bus will take you straight to the Newport area. Get off at the 'Broadway' stop in Newport. Once you disembark, you will be right at the beginning of Broadway, which is filled with shops, restaurants, and attractions.
Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike at one of the local bike rental shops in East Greenwich. From there, head south on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Take a left onto Route 1 and follow the signs toward Newport. Continue to ride on Route 1, which will eventually lead you into Newport. Once you enter the city, follow the signs directing you to Broadway. This ride is approximately 7 miles and will take around 30-45 minutes, depending on your biking speed.
Walking
If you're up for a long walk, start from the center of East Greenwich. Head south on Main Street towards Route 1. Once you reach Route 1, turn left and follow the pedestrian paths leading to Newport. This walk will take you approximately 2 hours and covers about 7 miles. As you approach Newport, you will see signs directing you to Broadway. Make sure to stay on the sidewalks and cross safely at intersections while enjoying the scenic views along the way.
