Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the East Greenwich Town Hall located at 125 Main St, East Greenwich, RI. Walk south on Main St until you reach the intersection with Post Rd (Route 1). Cross Post Rd and continue south on the sidewalk. After about 0.5 miles, you will come to a bus stop where you can catch the RIPTA bus #64 towards North Kingstown. Board the bus and ride for approximately 15 minutes.

    Once on the RIPTA bus #64, sit back and enjoy the ride. The bus will take you through scenic areas of East Greenwich and into North Kingstown. You will want to get off at the stop nearest to Smith's Castle, which is located at 55 Richard Smith Dr. From the bus stop, walk a short distance down Richard Smith Dr towards the castle, which will be on your left.

    For those who prefer biking, start at the East Greenwich Town Hall and head south on Main St. Continue onto Post Rd (Route 1) and follow it south for about 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Richard Smith Dr and continue cycling until you reach Smith's Castle. The ride is approximately 3 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.
