Getting There

    From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, head east on Yawgoo Valley Rd towards Route 138. Turn right onto Route 138 and continue for about 8 miles. Merge onto US-1 S and continue for approximately 4 miles. Take the exit toward Boston Neck Rd/North Kingstown. At the traffic light, turn left onto Boston Neck Rd. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach 1344 Boston Neck Rd, where the John H. Chafee Rome Point Preserve is located. There is no entry fee for the preserve.

  • Public Transportation

    From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest bus station, as there is no direct public transportation from the ski area. Once you reach the nearest bus station, take the RIPTA bus route 67 towards Wickford Junction. Get off at the stop near Boston Neck Rd. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk (1 mile) to the preserve at 1344 Boston Neck Rd. Be aware that bus fares typically cost around $2.00.
