Getting There

• Car

  From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, exit the refuge and turn left onto U.S. Route 1 North. Continue for about 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 3. Turn right onto Route 3. After approximately 6 miles, turn left onto Wickaboxet Drive. Follow Wickaboxet Drive for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at the Wickaboxet Management Area located at 102 Wickaboxet Dr, West Greenwich, RI 02817.

• Public Transportation

  From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, walk to the nearest bus stop located on U.S. Route 1. Take the RIPTA bus heading north towards Providence and get off at the Route 3 exit. From there, you will need to arrange for a rideshare service or taxi to take you to Wickaboxet Management Area at 102 Wickaboxet Dr, West Greenwich, RI 02817. Note that you may incur additional costs for the rideshare or taxi service, which can vary based on distance and time.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike from Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, exit the refuge and head north on U.S. Route 1. After about a mile, turn onto Route 3 and follow it for approximately 6 miles. Then turn left onto Wickaboxet Drive. This route is approximately 11 miles in total and may take about an hour to bike, depending on your pace. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations.

• Walking

  Walking to Wickaboxet Management Area from Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge is not recommended due to the distance (approximately 11 miles). If you choose to walk, head north on U.S. Route 1, turn onto Route 3, and then left onto Wickaboxet Drive. However, be mindful of heavy traffic, and consider using a bicycle or arranging a ride instead for safety and convenience.
