Getting There

• Walking

  If you are already in the Napatree Point Conservation Area, you can walk to Dodge Paddock / Beal Preserve. Start by heading south towards the beach pathway. Once you reach the beach, continue walking in the direction of the Stonington Harbor. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will need to exit the beach area and head towards the nearest road, which is Wall Street. Turn left onto Wall Street and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will see Dodge Paddock / Beal Preserve located at 32 Wall St, Stonington, CT 06378.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Napatree Point Conservation Area. Start by cycling south towards the beach and follow the same path as pedestrians. After about 20 minutes, exit the beach and ride along Wall Street. The preserve is about 10 minutes away by bike. Ensure to follow the road rules and keep an eye out for traffic, particularly as Wall Street can have vehicle movement.

• Car

  If you are driving, head out of Napatree Point Conservation Area towards the nearest main road. Depending on your starting point, take a left onto Ocean Road and continue to follow signs for US-1 North. Merge onto US-1 North and continue for about 5 miles. Take a right onto Wall Street and continue for approximately 0.5 miles. Dodge Paddock / Beal Preserve will be on your right at 32 Wall St, Stonington, CT 06378. Note that parking is generally available on Wall Street.

• Public Transportation

  If you are relying on public transportation, you can take a bus from nearby areas to Stonington. Look for local bus services that connect to Stonington. Once you arrive at the Stonington bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes to reach Dodge Paddock / Beal Preserve. Head towards Wall Street and follow the directions as previously mentioned. Check local transit schedules for the most accurate times and routes, and be aware that there may be a fare for the bus service.
