Bus
From Narragansett, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the Narragansett Town Hall on 25 5th Ave. Board the RIPTA bus number 14 towards Newport. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Newport Gateway Center stop. From there, walk towards Washington Street, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head northwest on America’s Cup Ave, turn left onto Washington St, and you will reach the Rose Island Foundation at 1 Washington St, Newport, RI.
Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Narragansett. From Narragansett Town Beach, head north on Ocean Rd, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 138. Take a left onto Route 138, which will lead you towards Newport. Follow the bike lane along the highway, and once you reach Newport, continue straight to Washington St. The Rose Island Foundation will be on your right at 1 Washington St.
Walking
If you are up for a long walk, start at Narragansett Town Beach. Head west on Ocean Rd, then turn left onto Route 1 and follow it north until you reach the Newport Bridge. Cross the bridge (note that there are pedestrian walkways). Once in Newport, continue straight onto America’s Cup Ave, then turn left onto Washington St. The Rose Island Foundation will be located at 1 Washington St, Newport, RI. This walk will take you approximately 2 hours.
