Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Ocean Avenue in Newport. From downtown Newport, take Thames Street and continue straight onto Bellevue Avenue. Follow Bellevue Avenue until you reach the intersection with Ocean Avenue. Turn left onto Ocean Avenue. Continue on Ocean Avenue for about 1.5 miles. You will see the Castle Hill Lighthouse on your right, located at 800-870 Ocean Ave, Newport, RI 02840. There is parking available near the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
To reach Castle Hill Lighthouse using public transportation, first, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus number 67 from the Newport Gateway Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue. From there, it’s a short walk to the lighthouse, located at 800-870 Ocean Ave, Newport, RI 02840. Follow Ocean Avenue south until you reach the lighthouse, which will be on your left.
