If you're coming from downtown Newport, take America's Cup Avenue towards the north and merge onto RI-138. Follow RI-138 for approximately 5 miles. You will see the Claiborne Pell/Newport Bridge ahead. There are parking areas on both sides of the bridge where you can stop to enjoy the views.

From Newport, you can take the RIPTA bus route 60 towards Jamestown. Board the bus at the Newport Gateway Center. The bus will take you along the scenic route. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Jamestown Town Hall stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the bridge. Head northwest on Conanicus Avenue, then turn left onto RI-138, and you will reach the Claiborne Pell/Newport Bridge.
