Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the downtown area of Providence, head towards Kennedy Plaza. From the center of Kennedy Plaza, walk northwest on Dorrance Street until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with the Providence River. At this point, you will see the river on your right side. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with James Street. Turn right onto James Street; the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge will be straight ahead at the end of the street.
