Car
If you are driving from anywhere in South County, start by taking Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 until you reach the exit for Route 95 North toward Providence. Merge onto I-95 North and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 22A for Broadway toward US-1. Continue on Broadway until you reach Benefit St. Turn left onto Benefit St and the Old State House will be on your right at 150 Benefit St, Providence, RI 02903. Parking may be available on the street, but be sure to check for any parking regulations or fees.
Public Transportation
To reach the Old State House via public transportation, start by using the RIPTA bus service. If you are near Wakefield or Narragansett, take the 66 or 67 bus to the Kennedy Plaza Transit Center in Providence. Once at Kennedy Plaza, transfer to the 1 or 3 bus heading towards the State House. Get off at the stop on Benefit St. The Old State House is just a short walk from the bus stop, located at 150 Benefit St. Please check the RIPTA schedule for bus times and fares, which may vary.
