Car
From the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, exit the refuge and head northwest on S County Trail / RI-1 N. Continue on this road for about 6 miles. Take the exit toward Kingston / URI from RI-1 N. Merge onto RI-138 E and continue for about 2 miles. Turn left onto Kingstown Rd / RI-138 W. The South County History Center will be on your left at 2636 Kingstown Rd, Kingston, RI 02881. Look for the historic building with a sign for the center. There is free parking available on-site.

Public Transportation
To reach South County History Center from Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from the closest bus stop, which is located near the entrance of the refuge. Check the local bus schedule (RIPTA - Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) for the nearest route that goes towards Kingston. Once you arrive at the Kingston bus terminal, you will need to transfer to the 'Kingston - URI' bus service. Get off at the stop closest to 2636 Kingstown Rd. From there, it is a short walk (about 0.5 miles) to the South County History Center. Please note that bus fares vary, so check the current rates on the RIPTA website.
