Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving within Arcadia Management Area, make your way to Camp Yawgoog Road. From the main entrance of Arcadia Management Area, head south on Arcadia Road until you reach the intersection with Route 102. Turn left onto Route 102 and continue for about 1 mile. Take a right onto Camp Yawgoog Road. The Narragansett Trail Trailhead will be on your right after approximately 0.5 miles. Look for parking areas along the road to safely leave your vehicle.

  • Public Transportation

    Public transportation options to Arcadia Management Area are limited. However, you can take the RIPTA bus service to the closest stop. Board Route 66 from Providence or Newport and get off at the closest stop to Route 102. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along Route 102 to reach Camp Yawgoog Road. Once you reach Camp Yawgoog Road, the Narragansett Trail Trailhead will be approximately 0.5 miles down the road on your right. Be sure to check the RIPTA schedule for current times and possible route changes.

  • Bicycle

    If you're cycling, you can also use the roads within Arcadia Management Area. Start from the main parking area and head towards Camp Yawgoog Road. Follow the same route as outlined for drivers. Be cautious of traffic along Route 102, and be prepared for some elevation changes as you navigate the trails.
