Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Watch Hill. Head northwest on Bay Street toward Noyes Avenue. Continue on Bay Street until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and follow it north for about 7 miles. Merge onto I-95 N toward New London, then take exit 86 for CT-349 toward Groton. Continue on CT-349 until you reach the exit for CT-184 W. Follow CT-184 W, which will turn into Park Avenue. Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park will be on your left at the intersection with Monument Street. Look for the park entrance and parking area.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, start at the Watch Hill bus stop. Take the Westerly-Pawcatuck Shuttle to the Westerly Train Station. From there, board the Amtrak train heading to New London. Once you arrive in New London, transfer to the SEAT bus route 9 towards Groton. Get off at the Park Avenue stop near Monument Street. Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park will be a short walk from the bus stop, located at the corner of Park Avenue and Monument Street.
