The bus will take you directly to Newport. Once you arrive at the Newport Gateway Center, exit the bus and head to the nearest bus stop on Memorial Boulevard.

From the Newport Gateway Center, walk south on America’s Cup Avenue until you reach the intersection with Memorial Boulevard. Turn left onto Memorial Boulevard and continue walking along the waterfront. Follow Memorial Boulevard to the end where you will see the Portuguese Discovery Monument located at 41.4498° N, -71.3552° W.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from local vendors in Westerly. Once you have a bike, head towards the bike path that leads to Newport. Follow the path along the coast for scenic views. Upon reaching Newport, navigate to the waterfront area where the Portuguese Discovery Monument is located at the end of Memorial Boulevard.
