Getting There

  • Car

    If you're already inside Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, start by heading west on the main road. Exit the refuge via the entrance road, and turn left onto South Kingstown's Route 1. Merge onto Route 1 North and continue for about 3 miles. Take the exit towards Narragansett and follow signs for Narragansett. Once in Narragansett, turn right onto Colonel John Gardner Rd. Continue for approximately 1 mile until you reach Bonnet Rock at 310 Colonel John Gardner Rd. There is no parking fee, as the area is street parking.

  • Public Transportation

    From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, you will need to walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 1 (approximately a 1-mile walk). Catch the RIPTA Bus #66 heading towards Narragansett. After about 15-20 minutes on the bus, disembark at the stop nearest to Colonel John Gardner Rd. You may need to walk approximately 0.5 miles to reach Bonnet Rock at 310 Colonel John Gardner Rd. Please check the RIPTA website for the most current schedule and fares, which are usually around $2.00 per ride.
