Car
If you are traveling by car, you can start from Arad. Head southeast on DN7 towards Deva. After approximately 40 km, take the exit toward Dezna. Follow the signs to Dezna, and you will arrive in the village. The fortress is located on a hill near the village center, and there is parking available near the base of the hill. Please note that there is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Dezna by public transportation, take a train or a bus from Arad to the town of Deva. Once in Deva, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Dezna. The bus ride may take about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance as they can vary. The cost for the bus from Deva to Dezna is generally around 10 RON. Upon arriving in Dezna, you will need to walk to the fortress, which is about a 15-minute hike uphill from the village center.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and are already in Dezna, you can hike to Dezna Fortress. From the village center, follow the trail signs leading up the hill. The hike is relatively easy and takes about 30-45 minutes. Just be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water, especially during the warmer months.
