Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Bușteni. From the center of Bușteni, head west on Strada Salciei. Follow the road as it winds through the forested area. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will reach the parking area near the base of the trail leading up to Crucea Eroilor. Make sure to park in designated areas to avoid fines. • Public Transportation

  To reach Crucea Eroilor using public transportation, take a train to the Bușteni train station. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the beginning of Strada Salciei. If walking, head northwest from the train station on Strada Libertății, then turn left onto Strada Salciei. It's about a 30-minute walk to the trailhead. Once you arrive at the trailhead, be prepared for a hike of about 1-2 hours, depending on your pace, to reach the cross.

• Hiking

  After arriving at the parking area or the trailhead from public transport, follow the marked hiking trail leading up to Crucea Eroilor. The trail is well-maintained but can be steep in sections. Ensure you wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water. It is recommended to start early in the day to enjoy the views and return before dark. The hike takes approximately 1-2 hours to reach the cross.
