After approximately 10 km, take a left onto DJ713, which will lead you towards the Bucegi Mountains. Continue on DJ713 for about 8 km until you reach the marked trailhead for Vararia Mare. Look for parking areas near the trailhead; parking may be limited, so arrive early. Once parked, follow the marked trail signs leading you to Vararia Mare.

To reach Vararia Mare using public transport, take a train to the nearest major station, which is in Sinaia. From Sinaia, you can catch a regional bus heading towards Moroeni. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Moroeni, you will need to walk to the trailhead for Vararia Mare. Follow the road signs towards the Bucegi Mountains, which should lead you to the DJ713 road. The hiking trailhead is about a 30-minute walk from the bus stop.
