Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Caransebeș, which is about 20 km from Cheile Carașului. Take the DN6 road heading south. After approximately 10 km, take the exit towards the DN57 road. Continue on DN57 for about 8 km until you reach the village of Pătaș. From Pătaș, follow the signs toward Cheile Carașului. The final stretch will be a winding road leading directly to the entrance of the nature preserve. Make sure to park in the designated parking area, as parking on the roadside is not permitted.

To reach Cheile Carașului using public transportation, first take a train from Timișoara or Caransebeș to the nearest train station, which is located in Caransebeș. From Caransebeș, you can catch a local bus heading towards the village of Pătaș. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Pătaș, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to reach the entrance of Cheile Carașului. There are no direct public transport options to the nature preserve itself, so be prepared for a short hike.
