By Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the city of Gura Humorului. Head southwest on DN17 towards Campulung Moldovenesc. After about 35 km, merge onto DN1 towards Alba Iulia. Continue on DN1 for approximately 90 km until you reach the town of Gârda de Sus. From there, follow local signs to Comuna Gârda de Sus and then to sat Ghetar, where you will find the entrance to Scărişoara Glacier Cave. Please note that parking may be available near the cave entrance, but confirm on arrival.

If you prefer public transportation, take a train or bus to the town of Gârda de Sus. From major cities like Cluj-Napoca or Târgu Mureș, take a train to Turda and then a local bus towards Gârda de Sus. The bus ride will take approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival in Gârda de Sus, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or take a taxi to the cave entrance in sat Ghetar. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance as they can vary.
