If you're traveling by car from Harghita, start by heading towards Gheorgheni on DN12. Follow DN12 until you reach the junction for DN15. Continue on DN15 for approximately 20 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Borsec, and take the exit towards Borsec. Once in Borsec, follow the local signs directing you to the Ice Cave. There is a parking area near the entrance, but be aware that parking fees may apply, usually around 5 RON (Romanian Leu). From the parking area, it's a short walk to the Ice Cave entrance.

To reach the Ice Cave via public transport, take a bus from Harghita to Borsec. Buses are available at the main bus station in Harghita. The journey to Borsec typically takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive in Borsec, you can either walk to the Ice Cave, which is about 3 kilometers away, or you can take a local taxi for about 20-30 RON. If you opt to walk, follow the signs towards the Ice Cave, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
