Car
If you are travelling by car, start from the center of Harghita. Head southeast on DN13E towards Sovata. Continue on this road for approximately 25 km. When you reach Sovata, look for Unnamed Road. Turn left onto Unnamed Road. Follow this road for about 3 km, and you will arrive at Muntele de sare. There is no parking fee, but be sure to check for any local regulations regarding parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Muntele de sare by public transportation, take a bus from Harghita to Sovata. Buses typically depart from the Harghita bus station. The journey to Sovata takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Sovata, you can either walk or take a taxi to Unnamed Road. Walking will take approximately 40 minutes (3 km). If you opt for a taxi, expect to pay around 20-30 RON for the short distance. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary depending on the day of the week.
