Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start by getting onto the A1 highway from your location in Ilfov. Follow the signs for Bucharest and merge onto DN1. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bulevardul Aviatorilor. Turn left onto Bulevardul Aviatorilor, then continue until you reach Piața Victoriei. From there, take Calea Victoriei heading southeast and turn right onto Strada Mircea Vulcănescu. The museum will be on your left at Strada Mircea Vulcănescu 125-127. Parking may be available nearby, but be prepared for possible fees in the area.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach The National Military Museum via public transport, you can take the bus or train from various locations in Ilfov. For instance, if you are near the Otopeni area, board the 783 bus which goes to the center of Bucharest. Disembark at the 'Piața Victoriei' stop. From there, you can either walk to the museum (approximately 15 minutes) by heading southeast on Calea Victoriei and turning right onto Strada Mircea Vulcănescu, or take tram number 1 or 5 from Piața Victoriei to the 'Calea Victoriei' stop. The ticket for the bus or tram costs around 3.5 RON (Romanian Leu) and can be purchased from kiosks or machines.
