If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Timișoara. Enter Strada Mihai Viteazul and head south until you reach Bulevardul Revoluției. Turn right onto Bulevardul Revoluției and continue until you see the intersection with Strada Hector. Turn left onto Strada Hector. You will find Maria Theresia Bastion on your left. There are parking options available nearby, but be aware that parking might incur a fee depending on the location.
Public Transport - Bus
To reach Maria Theresia Bastion using public transport, locate the nearest bus station in Timișoara. Take bus number 26 or 28, which operates frequently throughout the day. Get off at the 'Hector' stop. From there, it is a short walk to the bastion. Head north on Strada Hector and you will arrive at the bastion in about 5 minutes. Bus tickets can be purchased from kiosks or directly from the bus driver, and prices may vary depending on the distance.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of Timișoara, walking to Maria Theresia Bastion can be a pleasant option. From the city center, head south on Strada Mihai Viteazul, then turn right onto Bulevardul Revoluției. Continue straight until you reach Strada Hector and turn left. Follow Strada Hector for about 500 meters, and you will see the bastion on your left. This walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes and allows you to enjoy the local architecture along the way.
