Car
If you are traveling by car from any location in Vâlcea, head towards the town of Căciulata. From the center of Vâlcea, take DN7 towards Căciulata. After approximately 20 km, you will arrive in Căciulata. Look for Calea lui Traian road, which is well-marked. Turn onto Calea lui Traian, and continue straight for about 2 km. You will see signs for Cozia National Park. The park entrance is located at Calea lui Traian 559, Căciulata 245601. Ensure you have a GPS or a map app handy for precise navigation.
Public Transportation
To reach Cozia National Park via public transportation, take a train from the Vâlcea train station to Căciulata station. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Căciulata station, exit and walk towards Calea lui Traian road. It is about a 25-minute walk (approximately 2 km) to the park entrance. Alternatively, you can use a local taxi service from the train station to reach the park entrance directly, which should cost around 15-20 RON.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route without using public transport, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Vâlcea to Cozia National Park. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your trip. The taxi ride from the center of Vâlcea to Cozia National Park should cost between 50-70 RON, depending on traffic and your exact starting point.
