If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Râmnicu Vâlcea. Head southeast on DN7 toward Călimănești. After approximately 30 km, you will reach Călimănești. Continue on DN7 for another 10 km, and then take the exit toward DN67C. Follow DN67C for about 15 km until you reach the village of Olteț. From Olteț, follow the signs for Curmătura Oltețului, which is approximately 5 km away. There are no tolls on this route.

Public Transportation

To reach Curmătura Oltețului via public transportation, first take a train from Râmnicu Vâlcea to Călimănești. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Călimănești, you can take a local bus heading towards Olteț. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Olteț, you will need to walk the remaining 5 km to Curmătura Oltețului. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as they may vary based on the day of the week.

Taxi or Rideshare
