If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the city center of Vâlcea. Head south on Strada 1 Mai towards Vâlcea's outskirts. After approximately 10 km, you will reach the village of Bălcești. From there, continue towards the national road DN67, following signs for Horezu. After about 15 km on DN67, turn left onto DJ664 towards the village of Olănești. Follow DJ664 for around 12 km and then take a right turn on the unpaved road leading to the waterfall. The parking area is approximately 1 km from the waterfall, where you might need to walk the rest of the way.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Vâlcea to Horezu, which operates frequently throughout the day. Once in Horezu, transfer to another bus heading towards Bălcești. Upon reaching Bălcești, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a ride to the unpaved road leading to the waterfall, as public transport does not go directly to the waterfall. The total cost for this journey may vary but expect to pay around 10-20 RON for the bus ride and additional taxi fare to the waterfall.
