Car
From Byumba, head southwest on the main road towards Ruhengeri. The drive is approximately 45 minutes. As you approach Ruhengeri, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Gorilla Guardians. When you reach the town, continue onto the main road (A1) and follow it until you see a sign for Gorilla Guardians. The exact address is HGCP+4HP, Ruhengeri. Parking is usually available on-site.
Public Transportation - Bus
From the bus station in Byumba, take a bus heading towards Ruhengeri. The trip should take around 1 hour and costs approximately 1,000 Rwandan Francs (RWF). Upon arrival at the Ruhengeri bus station, you can either walk or take a moto-taxi to Gorilla Guardians. If walking, head west towards the main road (A1), then follow the signs to Gorilla Guardians, which should be a 20-minute walk from the bus station.
Moto-Taxi
For a quicker option after arriving in Ruhengeri, you can hire a moto-taxi from the bus station. The fare should be around 1,500 RWF for a short ride to Gorilla Guardians. Just inform the driver of your destination (HGCP+4HP, Ruhengeri) and they will take you directly there.
