Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Cyangugu, head northeast on Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Avenue du Lac. Turn left onto Avenue du Lac, which will take you towards the main road. Follow the signs to Kigali and continue on the main road for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Kigali, look for signs directing you to KN 5 Rd. Take the exit toward KN 5 Rd and follow it. Caplaki Craft Village will be located on your right along KN 5 Rd. Parking is available nearby.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Cyangugu, you can take a bus heading to Kigali. These buses leave regularly from the bus station in Cyangugu. The fare is approximately RWF 1,500. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Kigali, get off at the Nyabugogo bus terminal. From there, take a motorcycle taxi (moto) to Caplaki Craft Village for about RWF 1,000. The driver should know the location; just mention 'Caplaki Craft Village' and they will take you directly there.
