Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car from the center of Cyangugu, start by heading south on Avenue de la Paix. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Revolution. Turn right onto Rue de la Revolution and follow it for approximately 700 meters. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Route de Kamembe. After about 3 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Kamembe Airport. The airport is located at GWR5+786, Kamembe, which is just off Route de Kamembe. Parking is available at the airport.

Public Transportation

To reach Kamembe Airport via public transportation, you can take a moto-taxi or a bus from the center of Cyangugu. Head to the bus station located near the market. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Kamembe. The fare is usually around 500 Rwandan Francs (approximately $0.50). The journey takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
