Car
From Cyangugu, take the main road towards Nyamagabe. Drive approximately 30 kilometers on the RN6 road. Look for signs indicating Kitabi Eco-Center as you approach Nyamagabe. Once in Nyamagabe, continue towards the Kitabi area, and follow local signs that direct you to the Eco-Center. The entrance is well-marked. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
Start at the main bus station in Cyangugu. Board a bus heading to Nyamagabe; these buses frequently depart throughout the day. The journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Nyamagabe, hire a motorcycle taxi (known locally as 'moto') to take you to Kitabi Eco-Center. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand, which typically ranges from 1,000 to 2,000 Rwandan Francs.
Walking
If you're already in Nyamagabe after taking a bus from Cyangugu, you can opt to walk to Kitabi Eco-Center. Start from the Nyamagabe bus stop and head towards the Kitabi area. It's approximately a 4-kilometer walk, which will take about 45 minutes. Follow the main road and enjoy the local scenery as you make your way to the Eco-Center.
