Walking
Start at the Gisenyi Bus Station, located in the center of Gisenyi. Exit the bus station and head east on Avenue de la Paix. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach a T-junction. At the junction, turn left onto Avenue de la Réunification. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Nyanza Road. The King's Palace Museum will be on your left after about 800 meters. Look for the entrance signs along the road.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Gisenyi Beach. Head south along the lakeshore, enjoying the scenic views. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach the intersection with Avenue de la Réunification. Turn right onto Avenue de la Réunification and cycle for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Nyanza Road. Continue cycling for another 800 meters, and you will find the King's Palace Museum on your left.
Motorbike Taxi
From your location in Gisenyi, you can take a motorbike taxi (known as 'moto'). Simply flag down a moto and tell the driver you want to go to the King's Palace Museum on Nyanza Road. The driver will take you directly there. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
