Ten Days to discover the natural beauty and wildlife of Rwanda
Magical Rwanda - We LOVED it!
We arranged a private tour with Claudien on the recommendation of a colleague and we were very pleased with what he arranged for us! From the very beginning Claudien was communicative and responsive to our questions and quickly made any adjustments that we requested. If you ask, Claudien will deliver! We spent a few days in Kigali, Akagera National Park (Karenge Lodge was spectacular! Don't miss this magical place!) Claudien is so knowledgeable about all the wildlife, it was like having our own personal naturalist on the tour. We also wanted to get off the beaten track a bit and he organized for our Gorilla Trekking to take place in Uganda which led to a very intimate and personalized experience there. The Mountain Gorillas were the highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed the trip to Dian Fossey's Camp and Gravesite and the Golden Monkeys. An added bonus was that we needed to go to Kenya for a conference and Claudien arranged an amazing additional tour there which included Amboseli and Masai Mara. Claudien did a great job of giving us the opportunity to stay in more locally run hotels as well as luxury tented campsites, a nice mix of experience so that we felt that we weren't just on a tourist circuit. We felt like we were in very good hands with Claudien and we can't wait to go back!

11 Days around Uganda Rwanda Burundi for Gorillas and Big Five
An Amazing African Adventure — Exceptional Experience and Value!
Our 11-day adventure with Antique Safari Adventures was truly the trip of a lifetime. From the excellent itinerary and great communication to the flexibility in handling last-minute changes, everything was incredibly well organized. Even better, the trip was very affordable compared with many other African safari options we researched, without sacrificing the quality of the experience. Our guide and driver, Geoffry, was wonderful. At 73, I was traveling with my 18-year-old granddaughter, and he made sure the trip worked beautifully for both of us. The accommodations were wonderful, the food was excellent, and everything went smoothly from beginning to end. As someone who wants to experience as many countries as possible in my lifetime, I loved that this 11-day itinerary took us to or through five African countries. The absolute highlights were trekking to see chimpanzees, mountain gorillas, and golden monkeys. Because I had some physical limitations, Geoffry helped arrange treks that were within my abilities while still giving me the full experience. Seeing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat was simply unforgettable. We saw everything I had hoped for—and more. Geoffry's knowledge, flexibility, local knowledge and attention to detail made an already extraordinary journey even better. For anyone wanting the most comprehensive African experience, I would suggest combining this wonderful primate and wildlife adventure with a dedicated Big Five safari. We flew from Bujumbura to Nairobi to finish our trip with a three-day safari in Kenya, including a hot-air balloon ride over the Maasai Mara during the Great Migration .. It was absolutely spectacular and the perfect grand finale to an unforgettable trip. As one who has experienced over 130 countries, this was one of my top trips ever. Do note, this is a somewhat “adventure” type experience. Accommodations were wonderful, but you will experience rough roads, somewhat chaotic (but manageable) border crossings and sometimes limited “facilities” enroute. Non-withstanding an A+. I highly recommend Antique Safari Adventures and Geoffry. They delivered an exceptional African experience, tremendous value, and memories my granddaughter and I will treasure forever.

Lake Kivu Experience: Jet Ski, Boat Ride & Lake Cuisine
A Fantastic Way to Experience Lake Kivu
This tour was one of the highlights of my time in Rwanda. It offered a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and learning about life around Lake Kivu. The scenery along the shoreline was stunning, with beautiful views of the lake, rolling hills, fishing villages, and local communities that gave a real sense of the region. What made the experience special was how much local insight was shared throughout the tour. I learned about the history of Lake Kivu, the fishing culture, transportation on the lake, and the many activities available in the area. It felt much more personal than simply sightseeing. One of my favorite parts was visiting the hot springs. It was a fun and unique stop where we could relax and enjoy the warm water while taking in the surroundings. I would definitely recommend bringing clothing that can get wet so you can fully enjoy the experience. The unexpected highlight for me was the jet ski ride. Getting out on the water added a completely different perspective of the lake. The combination of speed, fresh air, and incredible views made it an unforgettable experience and easily one of the most exciting moments of the day. The tour was well organized, easy-going, and suitable for anyone wanting to explore Lake Kivu without feeling rushed. Between the beautiful scenery, local knowledge, hot springs, and jet skiing, it was a fantastic way to spend the day. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and looking for a memorable experience on and around Lake Kivu.
