    Start in the center of Muhanga, at the main taxi park. From there, head south on Rue de l'Indépendance. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Avenue du Commerce. Turn left onto Avenue du Commerce and walk for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road towards Ruhashya. Continue on this road for approximately 2 kilometers. As you approach Ruhashya, look for signs indicating the direction of Runukangoma Valley Dam. The dam is located a short distance off the main road, so be prepared to walk a little further on foot once you see the signs.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the main taxi park in Muhanga. Head south on Rue de l'Indépendance and continue for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Avenue du Commerce. Take a left and cycle for about 500 meters to the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards Ruhashya. Continue cycling for around 2 kilometers. As you approach Ruhashya, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Runukangoma Valley Dam. Follow these signs; it may require a short detour off the main road, so be prepared to navigate through local paths.
