Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from any location around Lake Kivu, and head towards Nyanza. Use a GPS navigation system or a map application on your smartphone and input the coordinates -2.3445217, 29.7438332. From Kibuye, the drive will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Follow Route National 10 (RN10) heading southeast, then turn onto RN1 towards Nyanza. Once you reach Nyanza, look for the MP4V+5GW location which is where Nyamagana Lake is situated.

Public Transportation
To reach Nyamagana Lake using public transportation, you can take a bus from Kibuye to Nyanza. Buses are available from the central bus station and typically leave every hour. The journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Nyanza, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (known as 'moto') to reach the lake. The cost for the bus ride is approximately RWF 1,500, and the moto ride will cost around RWF 1,000.
