Bus
From Rubavu, head to the main bus station located near the center of town (ask locals for 'Gare Routière'). Look for a bus heading to Kigali. The journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Kigali, disembark at the Nyabugogo bus terminal.

From the Nyabugogo bus terminal, exit the terminal and head east on KN 1 Ave for approximately 700 meters until you reach the intersection with KG 14 Ave. Turn left onto KG 14 Ave and continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you arrive at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which will be on your right.

Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
Upon arriving at the Nyabugogo bus terminal, you can also choose to take a motorcycle taxi (Boda Boda) to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Negotiate the fare before starting your ride. The distance is about 3 kilometers and should take around 10-15 minutes. Ask the driver to take you to KG 14 Ave, and they will drop you off at the memorial.
