Getting There

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the capital of Western Province, Huye. Take the Nyanza - Huye Road (also known as the N11) heading south. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will reach the junction with the road to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Turn left onto the Nyungwe Road (RDB Road). Continue for about 40 kilometers, following the signs that lead you directly to the park entrance. Ensure you have a GPS or a map, as some parts of the road may not be clearly marked. Parking is available at the park entrance.

To reach Nyungwe Forest National Park using public transport, start from Huye bus station. Board a bus heading to Nyamagabe or Kitabi. This journey usually takes about 1-2 hours, depending on traffic.
