Getting There

Walking
Start from the central market of Ruhengeri, which is a well-known landmark. Head northeast on Avenue de la Révolution for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Avenue du Commerce. Turn left onto Avenue du Commerce and continue for about 300 meters. You'll see a bus station on your right. From here, ask locals for directions to Kisoro; they will guide you to the right bus heading to Kisoro. Ensure you board a bus that displays 'Kisoro' on the front. The bus ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Kisoro, the Bamboo Ecotours office is located on Kabale - Kisoro Rd, just a short walk from the bus station.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ruhengeri. Start from the center of town and head northeast towards Avenue de la Révolution. Continue on this road for about 7 kilometers until you reach a sign indicating the road to Kisoro. Follow the signs for Kisoro and enjoy the scenic ride. It will take around 1-2 hours depending on your cycling speed and the traffic conditions. Once you reach Kisoro, look for Kabale - Kisoro Rd. Bamboo Ecotours' office will be along this road.

Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
Find a nearby boda boda station in Ruhengeri, which is typically located near the central market or major intersections. Inform the boda boda driver that you want to go to Kisoro. The trip will take approximately 1 hour. They will take you directly to the bus park in Kisoro. From the bus park, it’s a short walk to Kabale - Kisoro Rd where Bamboo Ecotours is located. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
