From the center of Ruhengeri, head towards the main road (A100) that leads out of town. Walk northwest along Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Paix. Turn left and follow this road until you see the signs for Kinigi. The distance is about 10 kilometers, so you may want to allow about 2-3 hours for a leisurely walk. Make sure to enjoy the scenic views along the way.
