Car

From Gishwati-Mukura National Park, head west towards the main road. Follow the signs to Rubavu, which is approximately 25 kilometers away. Upon reaching Rubavu, navigate to the coordinates 77RC+F3X. This location is near the base of Nengo Mountain. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for the terrain as some roads may be unpaved. Parking is available near the hiking trail.

Public Transportation

To reach Nengo Mountain via public transport, start at Gishwati-Mukura National Park and take a 'moto' (motorcycle taxi) or a local bus to the nearest bus station in Rubavu. The fare for a moto ride is typically around 2000 RWF, while a bus may cost around 1000 RWF. Once in Rubavu, hire a moto to take you to the coordinates 77RC+F3X, which is near the base of Nengo Mountain. The moto fare from the bus station to the mountain base is usually about 1500 RWF.

Hiking

For those already in the vicinity of Nengo Mountain, you can start your hike from the nearest trailhead located at the coordinates 77RC+F3X. Follow the marked trails to enjoy the scenic views.
