Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
From Salt Whistle Bay, head south towards the main path leading out of the village. Follow the path as it winds through the lush vegetation. After approximately 15-20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the southern tip of Mayreau. Continue walking along the beach until you reach the end of the sand. Diamond Beach is located just beyond the rocks at the southern end of the beach; you may need to climb over some small rocks to access the beach directly.
Boat
If you prefer a boat ride, you can hire a local boat from Salt Whistle Bay. Speak to one of the fishermen or boatmen at the bay and negotiate a fare to take you directly to Diamond Beach. The boat ride typically takes about 10 minutes. Make sure to communicate clearly that you would like to be dropped off at Diamond Beach.
