From the center of Medina, head northwest on Avenue Malick Sy towards Rue de la Gare. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue des Almadies. Turn right onto Rue des Almadies and keep walking until you reach the main road (Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop). Cross the road towards the direction of the coast. The African Renaissance Monument will be visible in the distance on a hilltop. Continue on Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop and when you reach the base of the hill, take the path that leads up towards the monument.
