Car
If you are traveling by car from the center of Fatick, head northwest on Avenue Moussa Tavele towards Route de Kaolack. Continue on Route de Kaolack for approximately 19 km until you reach the intersection with Route de Dakar. Turn left onto Route de Dakar and follow it for about 70 km, passing through various towns. Finally, take the exit towards Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar. Continue on Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop for about 3 km until you reach the Gueule Tapee area. Marché Soumbédioune will be on your right. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay a small fee for parking in the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Marché Soumbédioune using public transport, start by taking a 'sept-place' (shared taxi) from Fatick to Dakar. You can catch a sept-place at the main taxi stand in Fatick; the fare is usually around 2,000 CFA francs. The journey may take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Dakar, head to the main bus terminal (Gare Routière de Dakar) and take a local bus (such as the 1 or 2) towards the Gueule Tapee area. The bus fare is approximately 500 CFA francs. Get off at the stop closest to Marché Soumbédioune, which is a well-known landmark, and walk a short distance to the market.
