Magic Land: A Family Adventure in Dakar

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Mbour, head towards the main road, Avenue du Lagon. Walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route de la Corniche O. Continue walking straight along this road for approximately 5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Magic Land, which is located on your left side near Gueule Tapee in Dakar. The entrance is well-marked and you will see the amusement park's vibrant colors from the road.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from any local shop in Mbour. Start on Avenue du Lagon and cycle towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout and take the second exit onto Route de la Corniche O. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers. The route is mostly flat, making it a pleasant ride. Magic Land will be on your left, easily identifiable by its large sign and colorful decorations.

• Public Transport (Taxi-Brousse)

  Locate the nearest taxi-brousse stop in Mbour, which is usually found near the market area. Take a taxi-brousse heading to Dakar. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Gueule Tapee or near Magic Land. The journey should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs toward Magic Land, which is just a short walk from the drop-off point. The park is well-signposted, so you should have no trouble finding it.

• Public Transport (Local Bus)

  Go to the bus station in Mbour and catch a bus heading to Dakar. Ask the conductor to drop you off near Gueule Tapee or Magic Land. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. After disembarking, walk along Route de la Corniche O for about 10 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Magic Land on your left.
