From the center of Tambacounda, head west on Avenue Moussa Tavele. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the N1 highway. Turn left onto N1 and drive for approximately 13 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Dakar. As you approach Dakar, follow the signs for 'Dakar-Plateau.' Upon entering Dakar city limits, continue straight until you see signs for Marché Sandaga. The market is located in the heart of Dakar-Plateau, and there is parking available nearby, though it may incur a fee of around 500-1000 CFA for a few hours.

Public Transportation (Bus)

From the main bus station in Tambacounda, look for a bus heading towards Dakar. The journey can take approximately 6-8 hours, depending on traffic and stops along the way. Once you arrive at the Dakar bus terminal, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Marché Sandaga. If taking a taxi, it will cost around 2000-3000 CFA to get to the market. Alternatively, local buses are available for a cheaper fare of around 300 CFA, but it may take longer due to multiple stops.
