Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Tambacounda. Head southeast on Avenue Moussa Tavele towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the roundabout at the intersection near the hospital, take the second exit onto Route National 1. After about 3 kilometers, keep an eye out for the sign for Décharge d'ordures de tamba. Turn left onto a dirt road leading to the site, which is located at coordinates P8FM+H27. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads as the area may be rough.
Public Transportation
To reach Décharge d'ordures de tamba using public transportation, find a local 'sept-place' (shared taxi) station in the center of Tambacounda. Look for a taxi heading towards the outskirts of town, specifically towards the area near Route National 1. The fare should be around 500-1000 CFA. Inform the driver you want to stop near the waste disposal site. Once you reach the area, you may need to walk for about 10 minutes down a dirt road to arrive at the site.
