From the center of Thiès, head to the main bus station (Gare Routière de Thiès). Look for buses or shared taxis heading towards Sangalkam. The fare is usually inexpensive, around 500 CFA. Board the bus and inform the driver or the conductor that you want to get off at Sangalkam. The journey should take about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Sangalkam, you will need to ask locals for directions to 'QQPQ+JRV' where The Tortoise Village is located, as it is a short walk from the main road.

If you prefer to walk, you can start from the center of Thiès and head towards the main road leading southeast towards Sangalkam. It's a long walk, approximately 10 kilometers, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water. Follow the road signs to Sangalkam, and when you reach the village, ask for directions to 'QQPQ+JRV' which is the location of The Tortoise Village.

Another option is to rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Thiès. Once you have your bike, head southeast towards Sangalkam. The route is mostly flat and should take you about 30 to 40 minutes to reach. Upon arriving in Sangalkam, navigate your way to 'QQPQ+JRV' by asking locals for guidance to The Tortoise Village.

You can also use a motorcycle taxi, known as Jakarta, for a quicker and more direct route. Find a Jakarta driver in the central area of Thiès and tell them you want to go to 'QQPQ+JRV' in Sangalkam.
