From the center of Stari Grad, head towards Knez Mihailova Street, which is the main pedestrian zone. Walk straight down Knez Mihailova until you reach the end of the street, where it intersects with the Kalemegdan Park. Continue into the park, following the signs to the Upper Town. This area is well-marked, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers as you make your way up.
Public Transport - Tram
If you prefer a quicker route, you can take Tram Line 2 from the nearest tram stop on Knez Mihailova Street. Board the tram heading towards the 'Dorćol' direction. Get off at the 'Kalemegdan' stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the Upper Town. Look for the signs leading you towards the fortress entrance. The tram ride costs approximately 150 RSD.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more comfortable option, consider using a taxi or a ride-sharing app such as CarGo or Bolt. Simply input 'Upper Town' or 'Kalemegdan' as your destination. This option can be more expensive, with fares typically starting around 300 RSD, depending on your exact pick-up location within Stari Grad.
