From the center of Stari Grad, head towards Kalemegdan Park. You can follow the main street, Knez Mihailova, which leads directly to the park. It is approximately a 15-minute walk. Once you enter Kalemegdan Park, follow the signs pointing towards the Belgrade Fortress. The Monument of Gratitude to France is located within the park area of the fortress. Look for the large statue on the elevated area with great views of the confluence of the River Sava and the River Danube.

If you prefer public transport, you can take Tram No. 2 from the nearest tram stop, which is located on Knez Mihailova Street. Board the tram and travel towards the Kalemegdan station. Please note that a single tram ticket costs around 89 RSD and can be purchased at vending machines or kiosks near the tram stop.
