A Journey Through Time at the Archaeological Museum of Niš

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the central area of Niš, head south towards Trg Kralja Milana (King Milan Square). Once you reach the square, look for the main road heading southwest, which is Obrenovićeva Street. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard. Turn left onto Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard and continue straight. After about 1 kilometer, you will see signs for the Archaeological Museum (Археолошки музеј) that houses the Археолошки експонати. The museum is located on the right side of the boulevard, marked by a large entrance.

• Public Transport

  If you prefer to use public transport, you can take a bus from the central bus station. Look for bus lines that head toward the area of the Archaeological Museum. Buses 3 and 7 are good options. Board the bus and pay the fare (make sure to have small change). Stay on the bus for approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Arheološki muzej' (Archaeological Museum). From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the museum entrance.

• Taxi

  For a more convenient option, you can take a taxi. You can find taxis at various points around the city or use a taxi app if available. Tell the driver you want to go to the Archaeological Museum (Археолошки музеј). The ride should take around 10 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare or check the meter before starting your journey.
